Drift City (Skid Rush in the original version) is a Korean-developed nonlinear driving and GT-style Racing MMORPG in which players play the role of drivers for the Organization of Mittron Development, or OMD for short.
The Drift City game was published in the United States on August 1, 2007 by NHN.

As of September 19, 2010, ijji has announced that the Drift City service will be transferred to an online game portal called GamesCampus .
All players may transfer their accounts to the new game portal on October 28, 2010.

The Drift City game takes place in the near future, during a worldwide oil shortage, where a material dubbed Mittron is discovered on an island in the North Pacific, where the Organization for Mittron Development (OMD) is set up to manage the resource.
Mittron quickly becomes the preferred fuel for transportation, with cars using it running for longer than their petrol-fueled counterparts, with less emissions, and greater speed.

However, unmanned 'HUVs' (High-Tech Unmanned Vehicles) begin to appear around the island, terrorizing the local population, leaving them unable to walk outside for fear of attack.
As a result, the OMD begins drafting in professional drivers in order to destroy the HUVs, and uncover the mystery behind their sudden appearance.

Drift City game Players earn experience points and 'Mito' (the in-game currency) by completing missions and deliveries, as well as bounties for destroying HUVs.
Destroying HUVs in the drift city game
When driving, Drift City players can choose from a variety of vehicles in different classes, with the ability to purchase upgrade parts for their vehicle for increased performance so long as a sufficient level is reached.
These parts can then be further enhanced by 'Mittron Enhancements' to boost their performance.

Through driving, or destroying HUVs, players can also earn "coupons" to unlock cars or parts by completing certain in-game requirements, similar to the Trophy system used in the Burnout series'.
The Drift City game unlockable items can range from fuel for the car to car parts.

Players also have the option to join or form "crews," as well as impromptu "parties" for extra experience, or to trade items with one-another.
Each crew is assigned a rank based on their collective points score (S, A, B or C).
These ranks are displayed by colored crew names, with the 'Special' class being red, A being yellow, B being blue, and the lowest class C being white.
