It is the 25th century and mankind has emerged from the devastation of the Third World War to colonize several planets across the galaxy. Intense Real-Time Strategy

Ground Control is a visually stunning, frantically paced real-time strategy game which provides a truly immersive 3D experience. The main gameplay involves sending in your forces by drop ship into various combat zones. Where Ground Control differs from many other RTS titles is that there is no real resource management and you only are allowed a set number of troops to employ for each mission. This means that your tactical control of your forces is a key component to victory.
This control is actually quite simple with the intuitive controls and simple interface. You can send the free floating camera pretty much anywhere, be it high above to make strategic decisions or down to ground level to watch your squads deal out some serious firepower. All of this is accomplished with a simple flick of the mouse or keyboard hot keys. As for commanding your troops, it is only a matter of selecting them with your mouse and right clicking, or you can pick special squad commands, such as infantry mortars, by clicking on a tab on-screen or assigning them to whatever key you wish.

Explore both sides of the conflict with the single player campaign as you start out riding the planet of Order bases, only to then take control of Deacon Jarred Stone and try to retake that which had been stolen from the Order. Find the best strategies for the unique unit types of both sides, with the hardier Crayven units that rely on traditional ballistics and movement or the Order's hover propulsion systems with increased speed and mobility as well as potentially destructive energy weapons. The main single player campaign is sure to provide hours of fun as you command both Crayven and Order forces, but some of the most enjoyable playtime can be found with the on-line gameplay of Ground Control. Add new layers of strategy and tactical awareness as you face off against other human opponents and get into firefights involving up to eight teams!
